On Traversing
Distance is our tyrrany – time for travel is essential. The motor provides a convenient savings yet passes far too quickly through the vistas. Time to stop and reflect is not possible as the journey would again be forever, so I shoot for the passage, the blurring of image is a metaphor for that glimpse and fading of memory.
A longer exposure time here on the zipping through of scene creates for me not a document of “I was here” but of a suggested existence that our land and built environment had existed.
